Sideways Sideways has come alive! The live band, which comprises Ed Ackerson (guitar), Peter Anderson (drums), Kraig Johnson (bass), Tim Oesau (keyboards), and Blake Hurlbert (percussion), provides the sound at live events, while live digital visuals created by Co.Lab artist/technologists Christian Erickson and James Alcide Park are spontaneously animated and projected. The overall visual effect is somewhere between a psychedelic light show and a cinema noir espionage film, the sort of cartoon that could be shown on Saturday morning, right around 3 o'clock. Sideways is an all-instrumental solo project of Ed Ackerson from Polara, a reexamination of his mod roots through a thoroughly modern production filter. |
