Just wanted to remind you that it’s that time of the year when the BLB
closes for a few days for rest and repairs. That means Sussed will not be
rockin’ and rollin’ this week. We will be back to our usual shenanigans
next Tuesday, August 19.

We’re celebrating our 4th anniversary at Bryant-Lake Bowl with Sussedtacular 4 on Tuesday Feb. 26th. In addition to our regular DJ crew (including Marc “The Guv’nor” Mueller and Christian “MPLS LTD” Fritz), we’re taking over the BLB Theater for a special free show featuring Polara’s Ed Ackerson, Janey and Marc, and a couple other TBA friends. Music starts at 10 PM, and we’ll be spinning discs until 2 o’clock after the show. Watch this space for full details soon!

After months of construction, the BLB is once again accessible via sidewalk! Come out this Tuesday and witness the artistry of the city’s “LynLake” sidewalk sculpture. Then go into BLB, have a celebratory booze or two, and rock to the modernist post-construction sounds of The Guv’ and Co.
Sussed-tacular III was probably the biggest Sussed event yet, with the BLB theater, bowling lanes and the main DJ room totally packed all night. Guv’nor, Matty, and Chip rocked the turntables, and the bands in the theater played brief but very happening sets. The only bum note of the entire evening was the noise complaint from a lame upstairs neighbor that led to the Melismatics being cut off mid-song only 15 minutes before the scheduled end of the show. A disappointing but satisfyingly punk rock end to a really diverse and good-vibing show.
We’d like to thank everyone for coming out and supporting Sussed on all of those Tuesday nights. We’ll be there next week, hope you’ll pop by too!

We’re celebrating the three-year anniversary of Sussed! at the Bryant-Lake Bowl with Sussed-tacular 3 on Tuesday, January 23rd.

DJ sets throughout the evening from Marc “Guv’nor” Mueller and his Sussed! crew.
Additional surprise musical guests may be conjured if / when appropriate
In the tradition of previous Sussed-taculars and Susstones Soirées, Susstones artists and fellow travelers will perform short sets of tunes and collaborate / mutate in new combinations. Average set length will be about 15-20 minutes, perfect for the already supercharged sounds of The Melismatics and The Mood Swings. The show features a very rare solo showing from Ed Ackerson of Polara, who will be previewing a few of his new non-band songs. Marc Perlman and Janey Winterbauer will bring their new luminous, atmospheric tunes to the stage. Other rare birds on sonic display include instrumental outfit Sideways and the recently reinvigorated Astronaut Wife.
In appreciation of all the support the community has given Sussed! at BLB, this event is ABSOLUTELY FREE and open to anyone 18 or older. The show runs from 10 to midnight sharp, so come on out and help celebrate Sussed! with some fine live pop music.
Cooler weather means the action at Sussed! heats up-it’s too cold to loiter outside smoking! This means Tuesdays at the BLB are more packed than ever with noise-craving lunatics of a stylish disposition. This fall has seen a good crop of new releases, new sounds abound!
Sussed returns for one night only to its old location at Brits Pub for a screening party for the new Brian Jones biopic Stoned. The free screening of the movie is at 7:30. After that The Guv’nor and pals will kick it old school-style in the Longroom until 2 AM, or later if we can pry last orders out of the barstaff. The details:
